八年级学生开展了一项跨学科探究活动——“减压工作室”。通过融合科学、生物和艺术设计课程的知识,学生们将华鲤堂一楼改造成了四个沉浸式体验空间。每个房间都巧妙地运用五感原理,结合科学与艺术手段,科学有效地缓解压力。
Eighth-grade students carried out an interdisciplinary inquiry activity — the De-Stress Studio. Through an interdisciplinary collaboration between Science, Biology, and Art & Design classes, students transformed the Huali-Tang building into four immersive rooms — each crafted to scientifically and artistically reduce stress using the five senses.

The Stress Test
《压力测试》
为了让访客理解压力感受,我们首先营造了一场感官过载体验:闪烁的灯光、倒计时的滴答声、弹跳的球体、嘈杂的人声以及混乱的能量场。气氛相当紧张刺激!紧接着…一切归于寂静。灯光重新亮起,放松时刻正式开始。
To help our visitors understand what stress feels like, we began with a full sensory overload: flashing lights, ticking bomb timers, bouncing balls, yelling voices, and chaotic energy. It was intense. And then… silence. The lights came back on. It was time to relax.

Room 1: 视觉工作室 Sight Studio
此空间探索了色彩、光线和视觉艺术的舒缓力量。从柔和的照明到充满艺术感的视觉装置,学生们设计了能减少视觉疲劳、触发身体放松反应的宁静视觉环境。
This room explored the calming power of color, light, and visual art. From soft lighting to artistic illusions, students designed peaceful visual environments that reduce eye strain and trigger the body’s relaxation response.
Room 2: 声音工作室 Sound Studio
声音室让参与者沉浸在宁静的旋律、轻柔的低语以及基于频率的实验中。大家亲身体验了特定的音调和节奏如何能迅速降低心率和压力水平。
The Sound Room immersed parents in tranquil melodies, soft whispers, and frequency-based experiments. Participants discovered how certain tones and rhythms can immediately reduce heart rate and stress levels.
Room 3: 触觉工作室 Touch Studio
这里拥有纹理丰富的墙面、温度各异的区域和多样的触感体验站,核心在于探索人体触觉的力量。访客可以触摸、按压、揉捏、探索——所有这些设计都旨在通过安全的感官输入来安抚神经系统。
With textured walls, temperature zones, and tactile stations, this room was all about the power of human sensation. Visitors got to touch, press, squeeze, and explore — all designed to calm the nervous system through safe sensory input.
Room 4: 味觉与嗅觉工作室 Taste & Smell Studio
薰衣草、柑橘和肉桂的芬芳弥漫在整个空间,访客们可以品尝安神茶或体验香氛棒。这个工作室融合了嗅觉与味觉设计,营造出温馨如SPA般的氛围——研究证明这能有效降低皮质醇(压力荷尔蒙)水平。
Scents of lavender, citrus, and cinnamon filled the room as visitors sampled calming teas and aroma sticks. This studio blended olfactory and gustatory design to create a cozy, spa-like atmosphere — proven to reduce cortisol levels.
Science Meets Design

每个小组都进行了4分钟的研究成果展示,阐释了其空间设计的科学依据和艺术构思。学生们运用暑期作业中收集的数据,分析了不同环境因素对压力水平的影响。
Each group shared a 4-minute research presentation, explaining their room’s scientific foundation and artistic choices. Students used data from their summer assignments to analyze how different environments affect stress levels.
